Product Manager

Safe Banking Systems is a privately owned company established in 1999 and headquartered in Mineola, New York. We are currently seeking a Product Manager to work in our Mineola, NY or New York City offices.

Safe Banking Systems is a provider of powerful anti-money laundering and compliance solutions that enable institutions to identify, assess and manage risk across the enterprise. SBS' holistic approach reaches across business silos to combat financial crime and find the bad guys that other systems miss. The patented risk ranking methodology and probability scoring model in SBS' award-winning SAFE Advanced Solutions Visual Intelligence Platform® solves key Know Your Customer, Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence issues. In this position you will:

  • Define future development, build consensus among stakeholders, and partner with engineers and designers to create high-quality experiences and solutions.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative customer feedback to inform product strategy, provide information to assist the sales team with pipeline development and, develop hypotheses about key opportunities for Product growth and strategy by better meeting our market's needs.
  • Validate those hypotheses through user research, market sizing, and business case development in order to develop and pitch recommendations for the Product Roadmap; maintain/own that Product Roadmap for internal and external consumption.
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria and groom those stories with developers and designers.
  • Communicate your recommendations across SBS.
  • Collaborate closely with Technology, Sales and Marketing, and Service Delivery groups to craft and launch tests to learn more about the desirability, feasibility and viability of the proposed solutions.
  • Evolve solutions through Design, Development, Testing, Commercial Feature Releases and Continuous Improvement; evaluate solution/feature effectiveness after delivering to market.
  • Attend and lead internal and client meetings related to Product Development.
  • Analyze potential partner relationships for the solution.
  • Provide existing clients with information about new product initiatives at SBS.

  • Examples of proven analytical skills and problem solving ability paired with attention to details.
  • Your proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, and Jira.

  • BA/BS degree in engineering or computer science preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' Product Management experience, preferably for a FinTech or RegTech vendor.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel as needed. (SBS locations in Canton, GA, Mineola, NY and the Empire State Building, NYC as well as to SBS clients in the U.S. and Internationally as needed).
  • Work is in an office environment, sustained posture in a seated positon for prolonged periods of time; works with computer equipment for prolonged periods of time.
